So...Tell Me What You Want, What You Really Really Want!
Today’s newsletter is coming to you in video form! Since launching my newsletter 2 months ago, I’ve been slowly learning what I want to share in this space and have been gathering a little insight on what you want to hear/read/see too. So here are a few things I’m scheming for the new year!
What’s New:
The 52 Lists newsletter that goes out on Thursdays is morphing into something bigger and better! Instead of keeping this a paid subscribers only space, this one is becoming FREE :) (Don’t worry paid subscribers, I’m shifting things to make your paid subscription more juicy too). Starting in January 2023, The 52 Lists newsletter will be called “The Lists that Shape Me” (Or… something better if we can collectively come up with something you think might be more catchy) and will be a video-based interview series with fascinating and notable people like Alex Elle, Morgan Harper Nichols, Carissa Potter, and more!
How’s it going to work: Each week, I’ll share a video recorded interview with a notable person, such as the badass humans mentioned above. We will both fill out a list from the 52 Lists series and use it as prompting for our discussion about personal wellbeing, career pursuits, identity and more! My goal is to give you peeks into the inner workings of people who are profoundly inspiring in their work and identity. I want to give you the secrets they have yet to even reveal to themselves through the power of list making. This series is going to be amazing, I’m so thrilled with the people who are already on board and I know you’re going to leave each week feeling empowered, inspired and encouraged.
So what else is coming for 2023?
My Monday emails are going to be FREE for all of December and January, and will transition to paid subscriptions at the beginning of February. I want to take the next two months to really develop this weekly email into something that feels extra juicy. I want to share peeks into projects I’m working on that you can’t get access to anywhere else. I want to read pages of my cringey childhood and teen journals to you to make you laugh and maybe even cry. I want to develop the Past / Present / Future newsletter into something really special that feels worth your investment of a paid subscription. It should be a place that gives you access to me and my brain and my work in a way that no other space can provide if you’re going to choose to financially support me. I want to make what I make worth your hard earned dollars, and I hope you see me working earnestly and thoughtfully for your financial support. Capitalism sucks. I’d rather just trade you whatever cool stuff you make or skills you have for my cool stuff and skills. But dollars keep us fed with roofs over our heads for now. So thanks for soaking up this space while it’s free, hopefully upgrading to a paid subscription in the future (if you are able. otherwise, I’ll sponsor you) and for helping me sustain this space that I’m becoming so fond of :)
So, this is where I want to hear from you! I have a wide variety of interests and passions and need to get your feedback on what would be most interesting for you to see and read in my Past / Present / Future newsletter! (Again, remember, this will be free for 2 months, then will become a paid subscription access newsletter. the 52 Lists interview series starting in January will ALWAYS remain free!) Take literally 1 minute to click on all the content you want to see in my Monday newsletters in the poll below. Please and thanks!

I can’t wait to get a peek into your brain to see what content ideas give ya a solid hit of serotonin to the ol’ noggin. I was made to create. And I love to share what I make with you! I have a phenomenal lack of memory and thanks to Autism, some learning disorders and comprehension challenges too. But because I’ve always struggled with retaining a lot of info, my brain fills up all that empty space with an incessant stream of new ideas. I’ve got never-ending curiosity for how I can make everything and anything simultaneously more efficient and more aesthetically pleasing. My designing, writing, art making, home decorating and fashion sense are all rooted in self-soothing. And by sharing all that I make, create, and do with you, I hope you too find an endless stream of inspiration for your own self-soothing and wellbeing.
So for my new interviews series in 2023, who would you like to see an interview with? Dream big, or small, or in between; it’s the quality and the heart, the wisdom of a person that matters more than their follower count or klout. Leave a comment with some folks you’d like to see me chat with!
I’m also exploring how exactly to do these interviews. My research is telling me to do the interviews on Zoom so I can record them and share them here, as well as share snippets on various social media. And it might be extra cool if I make those zoom sessions public so you can watch us chat live and throw some questions our way. Maaaybe thats a little much, I don’t know. What do you think? Throw your thoughts my way in the comments! I just want you to feel like you’re getting access to some of the most fascinating brains and genuine souls in the world that you wouldn’t otherwise have access to in everyday life. This shit is what dreams are made of: exciting, special and rare. And I can’t wait to get this going with you all!
Talk to you soon!
