I swear I didn’t forget about you! I’ve been busy this summer and it’s time I reveal what I’ve been up to :)
Meet Margo, seen in the photo above. This little puppy joined the family in June and threw my world into a spin. She’s been with us for almost 3 months now and the bond is strong. She’s a 7 month old rescue American Pitbull Terrier and the sweetest little lovebug with an endless amount of energy. It took a lot of time to adjust to puppy life amidst everything else I’ve been quietly working away on. But we’re finally getting closer to a rhythm and I’m so happy she’s become my little studio mate. (I share a golden retriever named Lemon with my ex too. I raised her up from when she was 10 weeks old and today she’s 8 1/2 and just as sweet as ever. She loves playing with Margo, and tolerates her when she’s over having a baby in the house. lol.)
Art Studio? Studio! My at home office has steadily transformed into an art studio as I’ve found myself falling back in love with painting. I’ve finished 17 paintings this summer in prep for my first art show since college! Finally, I’m able to pursue my first love and share it with you in person.
My Debut Art Show pops off on Sept 7th from 5-9 at Sew Generously in Pioneer Square, here in Seattle, WA. I’m planning to present 20+ pieces, all of which will be available for sale. From tiny pieces just a few inches wide to large pieces multiple feet wide, there’s something for everyone to appreciate. It’s just a few blocks away from my old store on 1st ave, and I would love to see you there! I hope it feels like a reunion for all the friends and customers I haven’t seen since I closed the doors of my store in 2020. Fingers crossed, I’ll get to give many of you a hug on Sept 7th!

Moorea Seal Art Show
September 7th, 5-9pm
at Sew Generously Bespoke109 1st Ave S, Seattle, WA 98104. Free to attend!
Art Prints! I’ve been working away at not only the paintings themselves but researching and testing the best way to offer affordable prints of pieces for those who aren’t ready to invest in an original piece. I’ve tried a few options and think I’ve found the route I’d like to go. So, expect art prints to be available on mooreaseal.com towards the end of September. You will be the first to know when they drop!
Every Little Thing You Do Is Magic Tarot Deck + Book update. Back in 2020, my friend Callie Little and I had a dream of designing our own tarot deck and collaboratively writing a workbook that utilizes tarot for mental health support. After shopping it out to various publishers, we finally found a home with Clarkson Potter who really get it! Sara, our editor, has helped bring to life some of the best selling tarot decks on the market including “The Illuminated Tarot”, “Tarot of the Divine”, and even the newest The Wild Unknown installment by Kim Krans, “Renunciation.”
Here’s a peek at a few of the cards from our deck which I JUST finished all the artwork for, tonight! (not final art, but close!)
An Exclusive Edition of 52 Lists for Calm and 52 Lists for Happiness!
I’ve partnered with a huge retailer who stocks my books to design new, fresh editions for 2 of my books. As in… they’ve ordered 15,000 copies of these new editions. WOW! I am so excited! I still stand by the original photography designs of the 52 Lists series. And my publisher published cute illustrated cover editions last year too. But I have been dreaming of a more modern, minimal option for the design minded folks like me who crave something a little more sleek and on trend with the times. I can’t reveal the final covers or interiors until they are available this November/December. But I’ll give you a peek at the direction we’re headed (hint, gradients are a big theme) and I will share some cover options that didn’t make the cut in an upcoming newsletter. Be sure you’re subscribed to see peeks before anyone else! Paid subscribers get even more access with exclusive sales, discounts, downloads and more. Consider becoming a paid subscriber for just $5 a month!Parallel Play Co-Work: I’ve been hosting a virtual co-working group every Tues + Thurs from 9-11am PST for the last 3 months and it has become one of the absolute highlights of my week, every week. Helping other people to stay accountable to their own intentions and goals while I do the same for myself has been HUGE in managing ADHD. And everyone else in the group agrees, it’s improved their productivity, sense of self, overall happiness and helped them feel at one with a community while working from home too! I’ll be opening up spots for September very soon and will share access to sign up in my next newsletter, so subscribe to be in the know!
On a personal note, this summer, my youngest sister and her 7 month old son came and lived with us for a month. If you know me personally, you know how much I care about the wellbeing of my sisters and their kiddos. It was a gift to get to bond with her youngest son who is one of the most gentle spirited, smiley little guys and support my sister. It was through resources like selling my art, writing books, and the paid subscription option of this newsletter that I was able to care for them in a time of need. and I want to thank you for your support of not only me in my career pursuits, but for being a contributor to those I try to help and support as well. I appreciate you. We appreciate you. I hope you feel my care through what I write and create and put out into the world. And I can’t want to get back into writing my weekly newsletters, sharing art, writing, music, home decor and more that I’ve been working on in my little creative world.
